Dreams, Ideas, Actions.

Glasgow Project Room

Drawing influence from forms of activism and the women's movement, Dreams, Ideas, Actions. presents a series of screenprints and fabric sculptures.

Large obelisk-like forms dressed in hand printed fabric dominate and divide up the space, offering restricted views of the gallery. Screenprints on the walls show images drawn from the media, internet and historical sources overlaid brightly coloured graphics. Whereas elsewhere in the gallery screenprinted fabric has been quilted together in geometric patterns to form mats or seating arranged on the floor, waiting to be occupied.

Making reference to different moments in the history of feminist movements, this new body of work celebrates doing things together and doing things yourself.
